Obama, Romney take victory laps - Politico [dayinformations.blogspot.com]
Question by Alicia T: When a resume asks for "additional information," what would be good info to put? I know any special training or certifacates would be something you would want to put down, but what if you don't have anything like that? What could I put that would make me sound like someone they want to hire? Best answer for When a resume asks for "additional information," what would be good info to put?:

Hi! You may list software that you work with or any volunteer work done or courses you have taken. I hope this helps.
President Barack Obama took something of a victory lap on Fridayâs jobs report in his weekly address, touting the 7.8 percent unemployment rate as the lowest since he took office.
âAfter losing about 800,000 jobs a month when I took office, our businesses have now added 5.2 million new jobs over the past two and a half years,â Obama said in the address broadcast Saturday. âAnd on Friday, we learned that the unemployment rate is now at its lowest level since I took office. More Americans are entering the workforce. More Americans are getting jobs.â
Continue ReadingStill, he cautioned, âtoo many of our friends and neighbors are still looking for work or struggling to pay the bills â" many of them since long before this crisis hit.â
And in a veiled jab at GOP opponent Mitt Romney, he invoked his campaign slogan, saying, âWe owe it to them to keep moving forward.
âWeâve come too far to turn back now,â he said. âAnd weâve made too much progress to return to the policies that got us into this mess in the first place.â
Romney, meanwhile, took his own victory lap after his debate win on Wednesday, saying in his weekly podcast that he thinks his policies âcompared favorablyâ to Obamaâs that night.
âPresident Obama could not defend his record,â Romney said. âHe offered no new ideas for how to fix the economy. I welcomed the chance to share my vision for renewed prosperity and opportunity, and I think it compared quite favorably to President Obamaâs desire for big, trickle-down government.â
He also suggested the jobs report was not all it seemed.
âWe created fewer jobs in September than in August, and fewer jobs in August than in July, and weâve lost over 600,000 manufacturing jobs since President Obama took office,â Romney said. âIf not for all the people who have simply dropped out of the labor force, the real unemployment rate would be closer to 11%.â
The president reserved his most direct criticism for GOP members of Congress. He whacked them for âwaging an all-out battle to delay, defund and dismantleâ Wall Street reforms and called on the American people to urge them to âget back to workâ and âfinally start doing something to actually help the middle class get ahead.â
Obama pinpointed three of his proposals that he would like them to pass now: extending the Bush tax cuts for everyone except the wealthiest 2 percent, instituting mortgage refinancing assistance, and creating a veterans jobs corps that would help returning troops find employment.
âAsk them to get back to work and get these things done,â he said. âIf weâre going to keep this economy moving forward, thereâs no time for political games. Even in a political season. Everyone needs to do their part. If you agree with me, let your Representative know where you stand. Tell them that if they want your vote, then they need to stand with you and not in the way of our recovery. â
Republican chairman Reince Priebus urged the president to get back to work as well.
âNow, as a party chairman, I understand that the president must campaign. But he also has a job to do,â he said in the Republican weekly address. âWhile Barack Obama enjoys being president, he doesnât seem to enjoy the work required of being a great president.â
Priebus also took a guess at what was going on in Obamaâs head during the debate, saying that midway through, âI think the president realized that heâs been president for the past four years, and it was his policies and his agenda that have failed to produce any of the results that he promised us as a candidate.
âPresident Obama simply hasnât shown the kind of leadership we need,â he said. âWe face crises today which requires a steady hand, and a leader focused on the job. But President Obamaâs focus has been on saving his own job.â
