I haven't heard any solid answers, other than its a three year warranty. Who is the warranty through, microsoft? Because, I bought a two year warranty with Best Buy when I bought my most recent one a few months ago. And so also, how does this process work with the new warranty? When you buy an xbox new from a shop, you should register the serial on the microsoft xbox website which is easy to find on google. However, if you didn't do that, no problems you can do it now still, it's just good if you do it when you get it because then you know how long you have left on your warranty. Back to the topic, when you buy an xbox you get a one year warranty. This covers damage etc for your xbox for exactly one year. If you warranty runs out and you get the famous ring of death, or red lights at the front of your xbox, you have to pay £60 to fix it($ 100). UNLESS, you get three red lights on the front of your xbox, which means you are entitled to a three year warranty, which microsoft have introduced because so many peoples xbox break like that. Also if you buy your xbox on a shop like on the high street, more often than not you can go to them and swap it for a new one which doesn't involve shipping your xbox off etc. and they just hand you a new one. With your two year warranty you bought, just go on the microsoft xbox website, like mentioned and register your serial. It's on the back of your xbox and that will tell you how long you have left. IMPORTANT IS TO UNDERSTAND THE THREE YEAR WARRANTY ONLY APPLIES IF YOUR XBOX 360 BREAKS AND YOU HAVE THREE RED LIGHTS, OR THREE QUARTERS OF THE RED CIRCLE FILLED IN. I hope I helped.
